She’s Here!

Okay, so I’ve been keeping it a secret on the blogging world too long. If you’ve been following my Instagram, then you know what I’m talking about.

Nearly three weeks ago, at exactly 36 weeks, we welcomed our baby girl into the wide open world! She is absolutely beautiful and amazing in every way! Please say hello to our little . . .

Evelyn – 6 lbs, 5 oz and 18 inches

I did a mini photo shoot with her the other day, so those are the pictures I’m sharing with you today.

Little Evelyn is absolutely adored by her brothers! Okay, she’s adored by Ian and Isaac. Joshua is still trying to get used to her. He’s going through some major jealousy issues. He’s very much a momma’s boy. That might be partly due to the difficult birth and complications he had in the first two months of his life. He and I became quite attached during that time, despite my severe struggles with postpartum depression.

Ian and Isaac, however, absolutely adore her! They are constantly wanting to hold her and are always talking about how cute she is. They are also fiercely protective of her. It’s adorable. I hope that never changes. I pray that they will continue to be protective of her and will take good care of her.

Evelyn’s birth didn’t come without its complications, unfortunately. She did very well, but I had a lot of postpartum issues. I will talk more about that when I share her birth story.

Evan is a very proud daddy and loves her to pieces! He got his little girl, and you can tell that she will never be lacking of daddy’s love and adoration. She has her daddy completely wrapped around her fingers!

How can you not love that sweet little face! God has certainly blessed us with a perfect little miracle. I can’t wait to tell her about Jesus’s love for her. I want her to know how much our Heavenly Father loves her and adores her.

We love you, sweet Evelyn!

She is so precious!!!! I’m not surprised that Joshua isn’t fond of Evelyn. I still think of him sitting in my lap drinking his water and eating his cereal like he was a king and I was the slave. It still makes me laugh! I HAVE to hold this precious baby girl!!!

    • Well, Joshua is finally warming up to her! Yay! Oh, and I’m sure he would still sit in your lap and have you feed him like you’re his slave. He still does that to us. lol! We’d love if you came to visit us in California! *hint hint*
