I’m not quite sure how to start this post. I have so many words flooding through my mind. These words are washing over me in waves, but I can’t figure out how to get them to come out in a distinguishable way. Lately, I’ve been “passing through the waters,” so to speak. Yet, I feel like I have no good reason to be.
Shortly after Joshua was born, I went through a period of time where I felt like Continue reading →
Where has this past year gone? I feel like it was just yesterday I was celebrating a birthday that made me closer to 30 than to 20. Now, here I am again, celebrating another birthday year that is pushing me that much closer to 30. It’s so strange. I remember being a child and thinking that any age close to 30 sounded old. Now, here I am, and I don’t feel old at all. Maybe because, comparitively, I’m not. I still have my life and my children keeping me young. Or maybe I’ll end up being one of those old people who is forever in denial about her age. Don’t worry, I won’t become one of those Continue reading →
Happy post-Easter week, everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic Easter weekend! Hubby had to work this weekend, so the kiddos and I took a spontaneous trip to visit my parents. Between Easter egg hunts, getting together with family and friends, and lots and lots of candy, we had a great time! I will admit that I’m glad to be getting back into the swing of our normal routine though. Let me just say that travelling alone with three little ones was probably not the best idea I’ve ever had. lol!
I debated about what my after Easter post would be, but when I started cleaning out and re-stocking the fridge, I decided I would do a post on lettuce. I know, you’re probably thinking, Seriously? Lettuce? Well, several months ago, I remember asking on my facebook if anybody had good ideas for making lettuce keep longer. I kept running into the problem of having to toss nearly half a head of lettuce, because we weren’t eating it fast enough. That can be such a waste! Several people suggested different ideas. But, the general consensus was that nobody really had an idea that made lettuce last super long, and many of them said to let them know if I found a solution.
Well, I am here to say that I have indeed found a solution to the lettuce-going-bad-too-early problem!
Want to make your lettuce last longer? Here are some simple steps that will hopefully help with keeping that lettuce lasting for weeks! Continue reading →
A few weeks ago, my amazing husband made this awesome pallet American flag. (I helped paint it. Hence, why all 50 stars are not present. I didn’t do that on purpose. I simply ran out of room. Oops!) Well, the pallet flag looked a little bare on our wall. So, I decided to make a burlap pennant banner to make things look more cozy. It’s super easy, and I’m going to show you how you can make your own pennant banner!
A few months ago, my mother-in-law made me this beautiful necklace that I fell absolutely in love with! It was so soft and light, and the best thing about it was that I could wear it with so many different outfits. Not only did the colors allow a wide array of outfit color choices to wear it with, but I found that I could style it to my heart’s content. I’ve gone from wearing it with a nice dress for an evening out to pairing it up with a pair of jeans and scoop-necked t-shirt. A huge bonus is that it’s adjustable. I can wear it short, medium, or long. It can’t get any better than that, as far as jewelry versatility goes.
I then began getting several compliments on my necklace, and people were asking me where I got it. Compliments on how you look are always a nice confidence booster any day!
You might be wondering, Where can I get one of those awesome necklaces?! Wonder no more. These fashionable, handmade beauties are now available through Continue reading →
