You know how they have all those old wives’ tales about being able to predict the baby’s gender? Yeah, there’s a reason they are called old wives’ tales. Let’s confer with good ole Webster about the meaning of old wives’ tale. An old wives’ tale is “a common belief about something that is not based on facts and that is usually false.” There ya go, ladies and gentleman.
