If you had been following my Instagram months ago, then you saw that I was working on this long and arduous project. If you missed that, then perhaps you saw the reveal on my Facebook page. If you didn’t see that, you’ll get to see it here! Yay!
My husband and I have always wanted a large dining table. Since our family has grown quite a bit over the years, our old table just wasn’t fitting our needs, and we felt like a can of sardines at every meal. Thankfully we weren’t actually eating them. Yuck! (No offense to those who like sardines. Just not my cup of tea, er . . . fish.)
I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and soul-searching lately and have come to realize that I need to take some time to prioritize. Blogging is a hobby, but I’ve let it become more than that as of late. I’ve let it overshadow some of my responsibilities. I don’t want that to happen, and I certainly don’t want it to continue this way. I’d almost forgotten why I started blogging in the first place – to share my heart, to share projects and ideas, and to keep in touch with friends and family, including the friends I’ve made through the blogging community. Writing for my blog started becoming something I felt I “needed” to do. I want it to continue to be fun for me. But, most of all, I don’t want my family to feel neglected in any way. I feel like I do a pretty good job of prioritizing this, for the most part. But the thing is, blogging was starting to consume my mind. I don’t want my mind to be distracted from the joys of my children. I don’t want it to deter me from my responsibilities that lie in taking care of my family and our home.
It’s not just the blogging. It’s been my Etsy shops, as well. So, it’s time for me to take a break to prioritize and re-think my schedule. I’ve decided to take an online vacation for the month of July. I will be limiting Continue reading →

A few months ago, my mother-in-law made me this beautiful necklace that I fell absolutely in love with! It was so soft and light, and the best thing about it was that I could wear it with so many different outfits. Not only did the colors allow a wide array of outfit color choices to wear it with, but I found that I could style it to my heart’s content. I’ve gone from wearing it with a nice dress for an evening out to pairing it up with a pair of jeans and scoop-necked t-shirt. A huge bonus is that it’s adjustable. I can wear it short, medium, or long. It can’t get any better than that, as far as jewelry versatility goes.
I then began getting several compliments on my necklace, and people were asking me where I got it. Compliments on how you look are always a nice confidence booster any day!
You might be wondering, Where can I get one of those awesome necklaces?! Wonder no more. These fashionable, handmade beauties are now available through Continue reading →
