Okay, if you haven’t figured it out already, I am obsessed with pallet wood. I LOVE pallet projects! Since I’m on a pallet kick right now, I figured I would go ahead and share with you yet another project that we completed a while back – a pallet American flag. The great thing about this one is that I actually have some step-by-step pictures for you. Oh boy!
The background of these American flag beauties is that one day I decided I wanted a pallet American flag. I think I randomly saw one on Pinterest or Facebook or something and, being the patriotic military wife that I am, knew I just HAD to have one! I pulled up a picture of one and showed my amazing handyman husband and he said, “Sure! I can make that!” I knew there was a reason I love this guy! So, he went pallet shopping scrounging and got to work. Continue reading →
I finally have another update on the makeover home-front! We’re still chipping away at things, as finances will allow. A tight budget sure does make progress go slow. *sigh* Oh, and I still need to do our master bathroom makeover post! Dag-gone-it! Our master bathroom has been finished for over a month now. I’d always wanted to make one of those artwork display boards that you see floating around Pinterest, but I never really got around to it. I just became too busy. So, the kids’ artwork continued to pile up on our fridge. The thing started to look like a freakish picaso. Thankfully, my wonderful, amazing husband came up with a solution while the boys and I were visiting my parents for Easter weekend. I’m loving the artwork display he made!
If you remember from my burlap banner post, we were looking for something that would fill in the space between the flag and the toy shelf. What better idea than a pallet wood artwork display? This seamlessly brought together both worlds – our decor and the boys’ play area – without looking weird.
Our house has been slowly transforming into this amazing, rustic-looking, cozy cove. I’m loving the transformation! Speaking of transformation, I will be revealing our bathroom makeover very soon! Until then, you can feast your eyes on this lovely tiered tray I made for our bathroom sink.
While I’ve been working on the bathroom makeover, my husband has been delving into wood projects for our living room. I am beyond excited with the look that is taking over our living room. The look of it just screams our style! Hubby’s recent love has been Continue reading →
